Salmon clouds and future vintages

I hope everyone is having (or had) a great Labor Day weekend. A few pictures from around the house this weekend. The first was Saturday's sunset--the sky was beautiful and the picture doesn't begin to capture the colors or textures we could see. There was something going on in the area we don't normally see--many jets streaking through the sky, leaving long contrails. Over time the wind would spread the contrails out, and just after sunset the sky lit up a nice pink-orange glow.

The picture at the bottom of this post is from across the street, where they just planted grape vines. The white protection & supports look eerie from a distance, especially in the morning where there is mist or fog (like this morning). The rows of white markers remind me of a graveyard--there are so many more rows of vines than are shown here which gives that effect from a distance.
