United Nations starts new book club

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez took an opportunity during his speech in front of the General Assembly to announce the U.N.'s new book club. Calling Noam Chomsky’s Hegemony or Survival a “devilish good read,” Chavez outlined his plans for the club: “We will be bigger than Oprah. Well, not literally.”

Upcoming reads in the “absolutely unequivocally true” genre include James Frey’s A Million Little Pieces, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and the upcoming Harry Potter book.
